TRAVEL // MY TRIP TO FLANDERS

For those who read closely what I write, they know already: This year is going to bring a lot of changes in my life and new exciting projects - starting at the end of March!
One big project is already starting right now: Me being part of Flanders' Best!
Flanders is an extremely exciting region, including cities like Bruxelles, Antwerp or Bruges and famous for its delicious food, world-famous art and of course for the fashion.
Especially Antwerp with its Royal Academy of Arts brought along some of the most important designers, such as Dries van Noten, Ann Demeulemeester and Martin Margiela.
My job or more precisely my privilege is to discover this fascinating part of Belgium and to learn all there is about the fashion scene there.
On my first trip there I had the chance to visit the amazing Cedric Jacquemyn, who already designed a line for WEEKDAY at his studio and talk with him about his work and him being influenced by Antwerp and his famous predecessors. Also he showed me some of the best concept stores, that are truly amazing and worth a trip by themselves! Especially Ra!
On Flanders' Best I will from now on take you on my trips to Flanders and take you behind the scene of Flanders' Fashion! Much more coming soon!
